The Centre for Inclusive Development designs and delivers appropriate programmes and innovative initiatives to reach out to those marginalised/disadvantaged young people who, for various reasons, have been, left out of the national mainstream.
This Centre implements its activities through three departments:
1. Department of Tribal and North East Youth Development
Conducts specialized programmes to realize the needs and aspirations of the youth from tribal areas and north-eastern region and seeks convergence of all youth development policies and programmes for mainstreaming them. It also organizes exchange and home stay programmes to understand the values, social and cultural practices of different communities.
2. Department for Differently Abled Youth
To cater to the special training needs of the differently-abled youth, the Department develops need-based, user-friendly interventional programmes in collaboration with specialized agencies working in the field of disability rehabilitation.
3. Department for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Youth
The Department identifies unique needs of the marginalized youth viz., young women, migrant youth, young people living in slums, victims of human trafficking, youth belonging to minority communities, etc. and develops appropriate programmes to empower and integrate them. It also networks with forefront national agencies for mobilizing youth for social action and social justice besides building the capacities of institutions working for the social cause.
