In order to create a productive youth workforce, it is essential that the youth of the country have access to the right set of tools and opportunities to make a sustainable contribution. The youth must have equitable access to training and capacity building and be able to develop the necessary skills that are required by the labour market to ensure that they are gainfully employed. Given that a large proportion of the workforce is self-employed, entrepreneurship must be encouraged amongst the youth and they must be supported through the process of idea generation, incubation and training for sustaining enterprises. Priority Area 3 of the National Youth Policy lays emphasis for creation of customised programmes for youth entrepreneurs. In this regard, RGNIYD has designed a programme to train the youth functionaries for promotion of entrepreneurship among young women through the use of ICT, particularly in the rural areas. The Centre for Training Orientation and Capacity Building organised four orientation training for the District Youth Coordinators of NYKS on ICT based Entrepreneurship for Young Women during the month under report. A total of 64 persons were trained through the four batches. Sessions for the five-day training include Understanding Rural Communities, Problem Analysis/Needs and Resource Assessment , Community Profiling , Demand-Supply Gap Analysis, ICTs and Entrepreneurial opportunities, Service Design (Services, Content, Supply chain, Sharing Best Practices in Bangladesh based on eSheBee Model, Service Delivery Process: Services, Planning for rolling out ICT based women entrepreneurship, Step-by-Step Implementation process of eSheBee Model, e-Learning and e-business opportunities rural women entrepreneurs, e-Services and idea generation, Experiences with Challenges & Mitigation and Impact Assessment, Understand the basic concept of entrepreneurship & entrepreneur, Understand the concept of entrepreneurship in the theories of economic growth, Marketing and Promotion, Partnership and Collaboration, Sustainability and Business Plan, Entrepreneurship and Socio-economic development through Entrepreneur’s Social Responsibility (ESR), Business Planning and Development of Action Plan for training the rural young women for entrepreneurship. 30 October – 03 November 2017, Pune (Batch II) The second batch of training commenced on 30th October 2017 at the Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration, Pune and concludes on 3rd November 2017. Thirteen (10 Male and 3 Female) District Youth Coordinators of NYKS from Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra underwent the training.
