Guest Lecture for the month of April 2018 Guest Lecture on “Approach and Techniques in Career Guidance” by Dr. Suresh Kumar , Assistant Professor,Department of Psychology ,Central university of Tamil Nadu organized by the Department of Social Work on 6th April 2018 between 11.00am to 1.00pm at seminar hall , RGNIYD. Students from other departments also participated in it .In his lecture he emphasised that, Career guidance begins from early school days ,based on individual assessment one can identify their area of interest and potentials and one can choose the field in which he is good at and develop his / her capabilities.Dr. Suresh administered career assessment test for students and gave hands on experience for assessing career interest, which can be used by students in their field work area. The session was found interesting and interactive. Students (15 female and 32 male) participated in the secession actively.

Guest Lecture on “Relevance of Psychology in Social work Intervention” by Dr.A.Jonas Richard, HOD, Department of Social Work, KristuJayanthi college,Bangalore, was organized by the Department of Social Work on 19th April 2018. Dr.A.Jonas Richard, enlightened the students on the need of psychology in social work. The session was interesting and interactive. In total 20 students (7-F,13-M) participated in the programme.
