Department of Applied Psychology, RGNIYD organised an invited lecture on “Career Building Strategies: Leveraging Psychology” on 28th March 2018. The resource person was Professor Dr. R. Ravi Kumar, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. The total students participated were 45 from various departments along with department of psychology. The prime aim behind this lecturer was to gaze the career building strategies among students. He focused his speech on the emerging gap in domain, impression management, and smart management of technology & usage of communication skills based on context, as essential components in building successful career. He also emphasized on the importance of success, satisfaction and happiness in making efficient & effective career & gave examples of application of psychology in various fields. Overall by this lecturer the students obtained enough information through which they can develop their own strategies to build their career in respective fields.
