Two-day Workshop on Academic writing for Ph.D Scholars was organized by the Centre for Dalit and Subalterns Studies in Collaboration with University of Hyderabad. The workshop was Inaugurated by Appa Rao Podile, Vice Chancellor, and University of Hyderabad. Various topics were covered during the sessions on Features of academic writing, academic paragraphs, writing academic essays, writing research proposals, working with other people’s ideas, writing research reports etc. There were 42 participants (30-M; 12-F) participated in the workshop.

The research methodology workshop was conducted for the benefit of PG students of the Department of Applied Psychology. The resource person for the workshop is - Dr.V.D.Swaminathan, Professor, Department of Psychology, University of Madras, Chepauk, Chennai. The primary aim of the workshop is to understand some basic concepts of research and its methodologies, to understand the sampling techniques, to know the appropriate research design and to identify the appropriate data analysis and interpretation methods in the context of psychological research. The first and second year students of M.Sc., Counselling Psychology are participated in the workshop. The resource person demonstrated the concepts with appropriate examples and descriptions.
