A clean India is the best tribute we can pay to the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi,â said Prof. (Dr.) M.M .Goel, Director RGNIYD While delivering the inaugural speech for clean India in the fortnight programme Swachhta Pakhwada here today.
The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' (Clean India Mission) on 2nd October 2014, the 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at Rajpath in New Delhi, told Prof. Goel. He emphasized the need of converting India into a civic society more than a civil society. He added that purification of India calls for inner as well as external cleanliness. The Director administrated the oath to all the stakeholders of RGNIYD in Hindi and English.
RGNIYD is committed for Green India along with Clean India in its 42 acres campus.
The programme is initiated by Centre for Training Organization and Capacity Building in collaboration with other departments at RGNIYD under the leadership of Professor Vasanti Rajendran.
